We asked the FEDSA community to design the official FEDSA t-shirt for DevConf 2026. The submissions were genuinely excellent, and we’ve narrowed it down to 4 finalists.

  • Winner announced on social media and in our next newsletter!

The prizes

  • Winner: R500 Takealot voucher + their design printed on the official FEDSA team shirts for DevConf (14–16 May) + a shirt for the winning designer + credit across FEDSA channels

  • Runner-up: R250 Takealot voucher + public credit (and eternal bragging rights)

Option 3: Multilingual Hello World by Dean White | “Hello World” in multiple South African languages (Zulu, Xhosa, Afrikaans, Sotho, Tswana, English), rendered like code comments / print statements across languages (Python, JS, Rust, etc.). Colours reference the South African flag.

Option 4: Deploy Kindness by Zaakir Deminck | Celebrates community, connection, and kindness: developers across South Africa coming together under the FEDSA umbrella.
